I've been needing inspiration lately, and I found it in the new CD by a band called In This Moment [link] .
It's a great record (called The Dream. Go buy it!), and one of the songs inspired me to put this piece together.

I imagined a scene where a man in the late stages of a terminal illness spends his final hours at home, in the arms of his love.

The female character is based on the band's lead singer, Maria Brink. I didn't really try to get her exact likeness, mainly because she's so pretty, I didn't want to screw it up. But, I figured if I made a good enough attempt at her tatoo sleeve, the band's diehard fans might give me a pass.
